Satan loves secrets. They really work on us. I recently turned 56 and thought how age 55 was a better year than age 54.
Growing in Christ is one general issue, but the main thing was I hurt myself through most of age 54.
At age 50, some aches and pains started catching up with me. At 54, I started to feel a pain in my knee and say silently and hopelessly “54”.
I certainly said it every day. Near the end of the year while on a walk in a beautiful park with my dear wife, I told her. She heard me, and I was set free.
I caught myself saying 55 once or twice in the year. I also told the 54 story to my kids and other people around me. 54 would have been a much more pleasant year if not for a secret. A mutual church congregation can help us here as well.
Satan Loves Secrets – Let’s Be Free
Why did I not talk about it? Satan smiled every day and every time.
My kids have more than once overcome by simply speaking out about the secret. I guess we all do.
The secret is much more important than saying 54 to yourself. THe secret is the secondary hurt and gives power to the one who hates us.
Let us set a better mark on our life to not let any secret own us. Let’s get close to the people near us. Let us tell them especially if the person is in the secret. Seek help to get out from the secret as needed, but let’s not let Satan have this ground.
Also, our shame is part of this. I am humanly ashamed of saying 54. I need to face my shame to disempower it. Fear is the other enemy in here. Shame and fear and finally the secret. Fear and shame are natural. May they lead us back to God and significant others.
