What Are We Actively Trusting God For?

Jim May 16, 2020 About Me, Family Issues, Theology

Trusting God
It is easy to say we are trusting God

I twice got on a plane to China with no solid income stream to help me get in. These obvious trusting in God times were exciting as I went out in faith.

However, I struggle to connect to God and to pray. It is hard for me to gain explicit trust due to this problem.

Last year, I bought a prayer journal. I started to write prayers in it and felt my life and connection grow again.

Somehow how writing helps me express more. Shocking that I could not succeed in this path before.

So simple but spending money to get a prayer book with lots of blank space moved me at this time. Hurray.

I love gaining more connection with God through written prayer. I still have much to learn on prayer. All my children know on prayer comers from my dear wife actually. I am just belatedly catching up.

Let’s Keep Actively Trusting God

Back to topic. Giving away money is a way to trust God. However, surrendering my helplessness in writing daily and for chronic problems in my life has been the best path in recent generation. See also A Lesson Leearned From My Grandfather.

We serve an amazing God, but tend to float away from Him especially when times are good.  An active living faith needs more ways to actively trust. It is so fun to live an adventure with God not only in the big picture of our lifetstyle, but also in the small daily matters of our life. Only in a living relationship of trust can we keep the adventure hot.

Let’s each find our own way to actively trust God. Then our life will be more truly life. I am glad to grow in prayer and trust at age 55.

In the present COVID-19 virus crisis, many people are in crisis, personal, relational, and financial. Write me and I will write a prayer for you.
