What We Can Be by Seeing the Unseen

Jim February 6, 2021 Culture/Sociology Issues, Theology

seeing the unseenSeeing the unseen is our best world.  I listened to a Youtube video today by an intellectual cultural Jew.

He noted that humans conquered all the animals as we could cooperate in large groups and could conceive of what did not exist like the value of paper money for example. This also makes it possible for us to find God which the apes cannot. We can cooperate with people we hardly know, like Airline pilots through faith that Apes cannot reach.

Yes, God made us humans weaker and needing housing and clothing like other animals did not, but able to make clothing and amazing housing like animals could not. Humans cooperate when we believe and accept the same picture or the same story. We also are amazingly flexible to get to the next paradigm.

Christians take a great deal from the common culture God gave us. We Christians set the captives free and care for the orphan and prisoner as we believed a story. We can support each other in trial as we see a common world and meaning.

Seeing the Unseen Makes Us Greater

We believe that God made the heavens and the earth. He made the world beautiful,  and filled it with good things. He made humans in His own image. This further means we can believe and conceive of what does not exist and bring it in to existence. We also long for our unseen God who is Creator and Sustainer over all the unseen like faith, hope, and love. For a similar article see Atheism and the Unseen.

Why do believing Christians have more kids than non believers? Through hope we find meaning and purpose in this life and can live for more than momentary pleasures.

The Bible says:

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

We are something special, and as we fix our eyes on the unseen, we find God and dare to conceive a better world for our families and our world under Christ.
