The Gospel in Galatians
In 1517, Martin Luther gave new life to the Biblical idea of Salvation by faith alone by discovering that Romans 1:16 -17 means we are saved by faith. That led to Martin studying and teaching on Romans a lot and modern evangelicals developing the Roman Road for simply sharing the gospel.
However, it is not only in Romans that the main thing is clarified. See here the Gospel in Galatians.
15 “We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[a] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Any wonder we call it the Good News? Will going to church save you? Might sharing Bible tracks save you? Or will giving money to the church save you? These may help you along the path but only by faith are we saved.
The Gospel in Galatians Opens the Door to New Light
Faith leads to love which leads to doing good works. We love God who saved us from darkness and condemnation. We find him and who he is the answer to life and meaning. Thus, we try to life like we plan to live in his Kingdom.
God did not want us to live in fear and proving ourselves, so He came and saved us outright from sin which beset us. Now, we can really live. May we live in it. Furthermore, may a brightness be in our eyes as God accepts us and leads to the light in a dark world. Finally—
14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
