The Kingdom of God Did Come and Will Come

The Kingdom of God Did Come and Will Come

The Kingdom of God did come and will come.

Jesus said:

The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!

In Christ, we touched the kingdom of God. We will enter it after death by faith.

Jesus said he will return at the end of time:

2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Further, the Bible is clear that Jesus will not return secretly.

23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The Kingdom of God Did Come and Will Come Just As the Bible Says

The Eastern Lightening is a cult in China that claims that Jesus has already returned and is a Chinese woman from Henan. They quote Matthew 24:27 above and say Jesus came starting from the East and lives in Henan. This statement shows they are lying. Jesus said we would not need to look for him.

The group was known for deceiving or even threatening young Christians to get new members. When leading a house church in that region, a women approached my Chinese wife and I and said she wanted to meet and join our church. She said she just got converted on the train and knew no other Christians.  She planned to stay in our region for no clear reason.

I asked to see her government issued ID. She said she lost it. No one would leave home without replacing their ID, so I knew she was lying.  I then asked to see her red residence book as no one would lose that. She left and never returned. She was probably an Eastern Lightening missionary.

When Jesus comes back, He will come in power.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Jesus left us like rebels in a kingdom that is not ours. We live here as foreigners and exiles.

He will finally bring us all home, but He will not come back secretly.
