Survey Results On What Women Think

Jim March 13, 2022 Culture/Sociology Issues

what women thinkLast week, I wrote on what men think, so this week a survey on what women think. None of these surveys are done by Christians.  Are women doing well?  Let’s think.

Adult women worry regularly about their:

Appearance (67 percent) Finances (62 percent), Health (49 percent), Family/relationships (46 percent) Professional success (40 percent).

Men worry about

Finances (53%), health, physique, ability to be provider, mental health (32%) and sex (23%) are the top 6 things in descending order.

What I note here is that we are similar, but girls list family and relationships in 4th place while men do not list relationships at all in top 6.

The women’s survey does not show as many topics and is not the exactly the same question, but let’s think about women and relationships and the kingdom of God.

Relationships Have a Place

Notably, women are more likely to seek God for relationship and security. Men are more likely to seek God for truth and significance. We all seek God for love. Men sometimes cannot connect with love explicitly. Women are much more adept. A big benefit for girls is they are more likely to reach out for help. We all need to do this more.

We cannot know if 10% of females are concerned about their relationship with God from this survey. The men showed less than 6%.

We evangelicals say that we need a personal relationship with God. Many women have flocked to that banner. It has been harder for men as do not list relationship very high at all.

Men are surely interested in beauty and that has hurt women as fears of not being beautiful harm them. I see God made all women beautiful, but each in different ways. God bless women, and may they be free to be beautiful and not burdened.

I naturally see God as my commanding general and me as his captain. I think no women would have that picture.

What Women Think in Another Survey

Let’s list another female survey on things women worry about:

  1. Will I End Up Alone?
  2. Do I Look Good?
  3. Will I Succeed?
  4. Does He Like Me?
  5. Can I Afford It?
  6. How Much Longer?
  7. Am I Healthy Enough?

We all know that God said each day has enough worries of its own. That does not make it easy to walk away from worry. We have to walk away from toxic environments.

While post modernism and the online world has destabilized the West and emptied churches, girls have had their own struggles. Truly, nothing is easy in this quick changing world.

Both genders  need to keep our eyes on our unchanging God who saw this change all coming long ago.

He cares for our needs and sees us in the darkness as well as in the light.
