We All Need a Lot More Grace and Hope

Jim June 12, 2021 Church Work, Culture/Sociology Issues, Theology

we all need a lot more graceI have read more than once the phrase that we all need a little more grace. The phrase is so true. People may look put together, but people mostly carry a lot of hurt that they do not always realize. Find the 9 Bible verses on Grace from picture here.

Jesus said,

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

So everyone has had and will have trouble. We need to see everyone with these eyes. Everyone will do or fail to do something that they regret.

Now, what do we do? Take heart and give hope as Jesus has overcome.

Yes, People Need a Lot More Grace and Hope

We live with this tension. Everyone has broken places, yet in Christ we can be more. We can rise from the ashes, and we can believe for others to rise out of the ashes.  See also Grace and Truth.

We need deep understanding and great hope for each person we encounter.  Might I add also for ourselves.

There is a reason that Jesus says we are children all our lives on this earth.

Children need understanding and have hope. Thus are we all.

None of us can see ourselves or others just as God sees us. I would think that God sees me as both better and worse than I see myself.

My definition of humility is believing how God seems me. So always trying to know better how God sees me.

I have also at times been challenged to ask God whether some person I am struggling with will be ahead or behind me in line of importance in heaven. I have always been struck by the knowledge that only God knows.

God help us as life is not easy to live.  People need us to see them well with grace and hope.
