Somethings God is Not Clear
Somethings God is not clear. On the old Testament, God said they should not work on the sabbath. He did not define much. The Pharisees developed very specific rules, and Jesus would break these rules and say the rules are only from men and tradition.
In the topic of sovereignty or free will, the Bible has support for both ideas. It also is not clear.
God does not apologize for not being clear. and he strongly criticized Pharisees for clarifying what He had made unclear.
Part of the reason I call this site Mainthing.us is that I see that God does not want us to teach rules like they are fro God when God meant for it to be unclear. I love that it is “.us” as life is about relationship and God makes them whole.
Back to God’s desire that we trust Him and accept the freedom of not knowing all. He has given us everything we need. Let us not put words in his mouth. Welcome to catch me if I try to put words in God’s mouth. Anyone serious about faith has risk of doing so or otherwise acting like a Pharisee. Let us run from that.
Somethings God is Not Clear, But Sometimes So Clear
Quakers are careful not to swear by anything and Charismatics think speaking in tongues is critical. These special emphases should never go past the importance of Jesus crucified by Pontius Pilate, died and buried –all for our sins. He was raised on the third day and will come to judge the living and the dead. It is by faith we are saved.
